1. What Chit is

Chit lets you send short text notes from the app to a chitter — a small printer in someone's home — and lets you own chitters that others may send to. Chit is currently a free service in an early testing phase, operated by Robin Goudeketting (see Impressum).

2. Your account

You sign in with a Google account and must be at least 14 years old. You are responsible for what is sent from your account.

3. Sending rules

Whatever you send gets physically printed in someone's home. You may only send to people who have granted you access, and they can pause, revoke, or block you at any time. Don't send content that is illegal, threatening, harassing, or that the recipient has asked you not to send. Recipients can report senders; abuse can lead to revoked access or a closed account.

4. Testing phase — no guarantees

Chit is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. Messages may be delayed, printers may be offline, data may be lost, and the service may change or stop at any time while we are testing. To the extent permitted by law, liability is limited to cases of intent or gross negligence. Mandatory consumer rights under Austrian law remain unaffected.

5. Your content

You keep all rights to what you write. You give us the technical permission to transmit, briefly store, and print it — that's the service. Message bodies are deleted from our servers after printing (see the Privacy Policy).

6. Ending things

You can stop using Chit at any time and ask us to delete your account by writing to privacy@chit.ink. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

7. Changes & law

We may update these terms as Chit evolves and will note the date above. Austrian law applies, without limiting mandatory protections of the country you live in.
